As if we couldn’t have just assumed it ourselves, the hip hop heavyweight known as Lil Wayne will be one of the set performers at this year’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards This August 28. With the release of his Sorry For The Wait mixtape and the hugely anticipated Tha Carter IV album drawing near, Wayne is on everyone’s most wanted performer list.
Without an official word from MTV, Wayne’s manager shared the news in a released statement So the Young Money head honcho will be storming the stage at the VMA’s, filmed live at the Downtown Los Angeles Nokia Theater August 28, at 9PM.
And for those of you that are sitting around waiting to know if the official Tha Carter 4 album will be pushed back any further, rest assured. It’s been said that Wayne’s latest solo endeavor will be available for download on iTunes immediately post-performance at the VMA’s.
