Lil Wayne Says "Carter IV" Is Complete

Weezy says the long-awaited fourth entry in his "Carter" series is done.

Lil Wayne says that his long-awaited and oft-delayed Tha Carter IV is complete.

"The album is done and it'll be out August 29. It's totally done," said Wayne an in interview with MTV News.

The rapper also spoke about his almost entirely-acoustic track "How To Love," which he says found its inspiration from an unlikely source: Tupac.

"That song is just sweeping the world. It's touching every woman, that's what it was for," explained Weezy. "It was like Tupac had 'Keep Ya Head Up' and it was a message to women and little girls across the world just to keep your head up even though things are hard. That's what my song was."

Mac Miller Talks Twitter Exchange With Donald Trump

In one of the least likely Twitter exchanges ever, business mogul and possible presidential candidate Donald Trump tweeted up-and-coming rap star Mac Miller on Tuesday, co-signing Miller’s song, “Donald Trump.”

In between tweets about Obamacare, the debt ceiling and a new hotel he’s opening in Panama, The Donald tweeted: “@macmiller ‘Donald Trump the Song’ gets 16M hits on YouTube. Who wouldn’t be flattered?”

Miller said he got the news from a friend after waking up in a hotel room.

“We all laughed and we’re like ‘That’s fuckin wild,’” Miller tells XXLMag.com. “And then we just checked Twitter and tried to get him to invite us to some crazy party, but he never did.”

Miller first responded with surprise: “YOOOOOOO! DONALD TRUMP REALLY JUST TWEETED ME!!! THAT IS ILL.”

Then came a witty effort to pop bottles with “The Apprentice” host: “@realDonaldTrump glad you like it. In return for the free promo, an extravagant night of fine dining and penthouse parties w/ models on you?”

But a lavish party never materialized. “He didn’t start following me or anything either,” Miller added. “I think he just likes the song.”

As it turns out, the song – a party anthem on which the 2011 XXL freshman boasts “I take over the world when I’m on my Donald Trump shit/look at all this money, ain’t that some shit?” – wasn’t given the Trump title until the last minute.

“It’s funny because the Donald Trump thing came at the end,” Miller said, “so I never really thought about [how he’d react] because I never really thought about it reaching that level.”

The 19-year-old Pittsburgh MC said as unexpected as it was to get a tweet from Trump, with the video now approaching 17 million views on YouTube, it only made sense that the wealthy CEO took notice.

“I think it was more comedic than anything,” Miller said. “It’s just kinda like a quick little, ‘Oh wow, Mac is on Donald Trump’s radar.’ And I was just like ‘Oh, that’s something you never expect.’

“But then it’s not really that crazy to think that if a song has 16 million views and it’s called ‘Donald Trump’ – I would hope Donald Trump would know about it,” Miller said.

And another one and another one and another. Yep, the ever-resplendent (and ever-fickle) J-Lo is back on the dating market. Her and husband Marc Anthony have decided to end their union after seven years. The soon-to-be ex-couple put out a joint statement saying:

"We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

This is Lopez's third divorce. Hopefully these two really thought this throughand exhausted all therapy. On a brighter side, at least they won't feel obligated to collaborate on sucky music ever again.

Dallas Police Respond To Nicki Minaj W/ Official Report

    Young Money star Nicki Minaj may have to eat her own words as the Dallas police department has decided to release a report describing an altercation she had earlier this week.


New details on what took place at Dallas' Hotel Palomar have landed online.


    Dallas police also downplayed the incident and released the police report. The report says Minaj and an assistant had an argument by the pool at the hotel then went up to the room they were sharing. Then they argued over a suitcase. The report says Minaj "...was looking into the suitcase. Witness one grabbed the suitcase and as he was picking it up, he shoved the suitcase across the complainant's chin and lower lip." (WFAA)


Despite the incident, Minaj decided not to press charges.


    The officers who responded to a hotel staffer's call observed, as stated in the report, there was "slight swelling and redness" to Nicki's chin. Additionally, it is noted that Nicki's teeth "struck the inside of her lower lip, causing the inside of the lower lip to cut and start to bleed." After she was checked by the paramedics, the MC told the officers she did not want to press charges. (Ace Showbiz)


Yesterday, Minaj hopped on Twitter to address the fight rumor.

Initial reports about what took place emerged a day prior.

TMZ has learned ... Minaj was hanging out at the pool at the fancy Palomar Hotel when she got into a very intense verbal spat with an unidentified man she was staying with. Nicki told a hotel employee to call police ... while the man went to their hotel room. Nicki followed soon after. (TMZ)

Lil Wayne Announces Plans For “Rebirth” Clothing Line x Tha Carter IV Is In ‘Final Stages’

Lil Wayne is getting ready to start his own clothing line, which will be called Rebirth, the same title of his experimental 2010 album. Weezy told XXL Magazine in their July/August 2011 issue that is available on newsstands now, he wants to jump into the fashion business:

“I just figure that I… I’m funky,” he explained. “I got that from my stylist, Marisa. I’m funky, like she say. I wear a whole buncha items at one time, you know what I mean? I be figuring you at least want one of them items. Like, ‘Damn, I’d love to have that safety pin he got on,’ you know what I mean? Anything. I got on these types of shoes, these shorts, this sweater… A year from now, I want all these items to be mine. Rebirth. I want—I just figure people want to be funky like me, so I got my clothing line.”

After many push backs, Bryant tells Billboard there will be no more, “August 29, it’s not changing.” “He put the mixtape and the album in my hand the same day. He turned it in to me yesterday,” Bryant tells Billboard. “It’s done for the most part, around thirty songs that I need to carve down to twelve to sixteen, with four or so bonus tracks.” So much for those unofficial track listings floating around, aye? Bryant confirmed Nas, Jadakiss and Tech N9ne will appear on “Tha Carter IV.”

To promote the long-awaited release of “Tha Carter IV,” Lil Wayne is partnering up with MTV. After Lil Wayne performs on MTV’s Video Music Awards on August 28, the fans will be be able to log on to iTunes “immediately after” to purchase the album.

Target stores will carry an exclusive of the album, Bryant tells Billboard. Bryant did not mention whether the exclusive version will include additional tracks and if so, how many.
